Wise or Foolish

Matt. 25:1-13

In the parable of the ten virgins, Jesus was teaching that foresight and preparation is the beginning of true wisdom. Living wisely means acknowledging that we are only tourists on planet earth --- just passing through. We live here by faith, not by sight.

I.  Pursuing wisdom is not easy.

A. Society says, "Get knowledge to use for your personal gain."

B. We need to pursue "true wisdom." (James 3:13-18)

II.  What about the question, "How to live?"

C. God tells us how in His word.

D. I Cor. 1:18-31

III.  Live each hour wisely!

E. Our hours quickly turn into days, weeks and years.

F. Eph. 5:15-17

G. Matt. 7:12; 21-27

Are you wise or foolish? Are you prepared or unprepared? Now is the time to prepare. Now is the day of salvation.
