Mission of the Week: Mountain Mission School We welcome Eulavene & Josephine Edmonds to our church family at Coal Run. They transferred their membership last Sunday night. The Bible Bowl Tournament will be held here Friday at 8 p.m. followed by a Lock-In at the YMCA for the Bible Bowlers from 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. Coal Run is to provide homemade cookies, brownies, etc. for this event. We need volunteers to bring in sweet treats anytime Friday. Tell Sandy Slone if you can bring goodies. The Pikeville Church of Christ is sponsoring a Financial Seminar Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 8 a.m. See bulletin board for details. They are also sponsoring a Youth Rally for grades 6 & up on Saturday, January 24th at 6:30. We will be taking a group. All young people are encouraged to attend. Beginning today, Wee Worship will be split. Those in the Nursery Class will continue going to Wee Worship, and those in the Beginner Class will go to Beginner Worship. These classes will meet in two rooms in the 2nd floor of the Youth Center. Jr. Church continues for grades 1-5 at 11:30 in the 1st floor of the Youth Center. Adult volunteers are needed to teach Wee Worship. Please tell Jerry or Sheila if you would be willing to minister to these little ones. Volunteers are needed Saturday at 6 p.m. at the HOPE Warehouse to load the truck and unload at the church about 7 p.m. Many hands make light work! The Youth Choir will begin practice tonight at 7 p.m. for a drama, which will be presented later in the spring. All young people (grades 7 & up) who will commit to attend practices regularly are invited to be in this program. The World At Its Worst Needs The Church At Its Best! (Acts 4:31-37) The world is at its worst, but the church should shine brightly as a candle or lighthouse in the darkness. It is a great time for the church to be its best! Acts 4 gives us a glimpse of the church at its best. ____________ fervently. (4:31) A. "My house will be called a house of __________." B. You can never pray too much.
