The Resurrection and the Life

Mark 5:21-42

Jesus had confidence in the face of death, a deep concern for man’s mortality, and actually had the competence to deliver life from the dead. What a Savior He is!

His rock-solid confidence

A. When our car is broken down, we want a mechanic with confidence that he can fix it.

B. Jesus went with Jairus with confidence that He could heal Jairus’ daughter.

C. He was interrupted by a woman with a hemorrhage for twelve years.

His kindly concern

D. Jesus was busy, but not too busy to help a needy woman.

E. Jesus felt the same concern for the sick woman that Jairus felt for his daughter.

F. Many mock Jesus, but He has the power and the compassion to heal and to restore life to the dead!

His absolute competence

G. Jesus did more than make a claim (as many do today). He actually raised the dead!

H. "I Can Only Imagine" what joy is to be revealed to the children of God on our resurrection day!

Do you believe in Jesus and His confidence, concern, and competence? If you do believe, then act on your faith today by confessing your faith in Christ, repenting of sin, and being baptized into Christ. You can have new life, beginning today!
