But none of these people were the first to witness the risen Christ. Instead, God chose an obscure woman, Mary Magdalene, to be the first to see and share the good news of His resurrection. I. Her Sorrow II. Her Surprise III. Her Supreme Joy From Mary’s life we learn what Jesus can do for anyone who is willing to submit to His Lordship. Her life was dark and hopeless; Jesus gave her light, purpose, joy, and peace. We also learn from Mary what anyone can do for Christ if one is committed to Him. She was loyal, courageous, dedicated, and faithful. Have we allowed Jesus to change our lives? Are we serving Him with our best efforts? Will you start today? Don’t wait another day --- there may not be another day! |
