The Sovereignty of God

Job 34:33

God is the sovereign Lord over the entire universe. He does what is best whether we like it, believe it, accept it, or not. The best course of action for us is to accept His will without question or compromise!

I.  A Question: "Should it be according to thy mind?"

A. If God had to be what we think He ought to be, then He would not be God. Isaiah 55:8-11

B. Why should God’s plan of salvation be according to our mind? Acts 4:12; 2:38; Rev. 2:10

C. Should the church be organized according to our thinking? Mt. 16:18; Eph. 4:11

II.  A Warning: "He will recompense it … "

D. Whether we accept His ways or not, He will not change His plans. II Tim. 2:13

E. God will be gloriied in all His creation one day! Rev. 5:13

III.  A Protest: "And not I."

F. We are not dealing with another man, but the Almighty God!

G. And I am not responsible for your actions --- you must give an account of yourself.

H. I will not share in others’ rebellion against God.

IV.  An Invitation: "Therefore, speak what thou knowest."

I. Go ahead and exercise your freedom.

J. Consider the facts and then act.

Today, you know the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. So, speak it and act upon your faith in Christ. An active, obedient faith is a saving faith!
