Lessons From Jesus’ Second Miracle John 4:43-54 The account of the healing of the nobleman’s son can teach us all some important lessons in living for the Lord. Do not judge others in comparison to yourself. (43-44) A. Many thought Jesus was just a carpenter’s son. B. Do not justify yourself by looking at the faults of others. Do not think that position and wealth will protect you from the common problems of life. Do not allow your faith to be passive. (47-51) C. He heard, went, implored, believed, and went his way (obedient faith). D. Hebrews 11:1, 6-8 E. God honors and rewards obedient faith! Do not let your distance from Jesus cause you to doubt His presence. F. Jesus was in Cana, the nobleman’s son was in Capernaum. G. Jesus is with us in the form of the Holy Spirit. (14:15-18) The nobleman took Jesus at His word. He went back home and found that his son was healed. We today should take Jesus at His word. He is worthy of our faith, our trust, and our obedience. He will not disappoint us!
