A Blind Man Sees Acts 22:1-21 We usually do not think of Paul as being a "blind man." Yet, before he was converted to Christ, he had been both spiritually and physically blind. And while he was physically blind, Paul was able to "see" three important spiritual truths. He saw that the religion of his parents could not save him. A. Paul was born a Jew and raised in Jerusalem. B. He was wrong! (Rom. 10:1-3) C. Could our parents possibly be in the wrong religion? (Matt. 10:37-38) He saw that in spite of what he had done, God had a plan for his life. D. Jesus changes our view of things. E. A three-fold plan for Paul (v. 14) 1. "Know His will" 2. "See the Righteous One" 3. "Hear the voice of His mouth" F. The purpose was so Paul could be His witness to all men. (v. 15) G. Our purpose – Eph. 4:14-16 He saw that although he thought he was right with God, he still needed to be saved. H. Can religious zeal save us? I. Can membership in a large religious group save us? J. Can sincerity save us? K. Matt. 7:21-23 God has given us the road map to heaven … His Holy Word. Let’s be wise enough to follow what it says, without taking any short-cuts or detours that lead to a dead end! You can find us on the web at: www.coalrunchurchofchrist.org
