Prescription for Peace
Luke 8:22-39
Peace is the question. Jesus is the answer! Two events in the life of our
Lord that are described in our text today help us to find His prescription
for our peace.
I. Calming the Storm
A. "Don’t you care if we drown?" (Mk. 4:38)
B. He always cares, so we should never doubt Him.
II. Calming two Men
C. Two demoniacs needed help.
D. Jesus cast the demons into the pigs.
III. Missing Peace
E. They didn’t recognize the power of God.
F. They didn’t recognize the presence of God.
G. They didn’t recognize the perfection of God.
Christ gives perfect peace. Do you have this peace in your heart or is it
missing? You can have perfect peace by making Jesus the Lord of your life.
Let him calm your storms and remove the devil and his sinful ways from your
life. (Rom. 5:1-5; Eph. 2:15-17)
