The Reality of Truth
John 8:31-32, 44-47
We live in a world that increasingly denies the fact that absolute truth
even exists. Thus, we are left with no sure foundation upon which to build
our faith and our lives. However, Jesus taught that there is a truth to know
and follow.
I. Truth exists.
A. John 17:17
B. John 18:36-38
C. II Thessalonians 2:9-15
II. Truth is knowable.
D. We can know the truth!
E. God has given us the "word of truth."
F. We must stand for His truth!
III. Truth is liberating.
G. Beliefs have consequences.
H. The truth will set you free!
I. The truth will not make you free from controversy.
J. There is one way, one truth, one faith, and one baptism.
Whether you believe it or not, the truth will not change. And the truth
is, if you are still in your sins, you need to believe in Christ, repent of
sin, confess your faith, be baptized into Christ, and live a Christian life.
