Bow Down

Matthew 4:1-10

The concept of "bowing down" is not a very popular concept today. Most people are simply looking out for #1 --- that is, looking out for themselves. However, there are three very good reasons why we should be involved in "bowing down" before our God.

I.  Because God is all-powerful, He can help me with
     anything.

A. We have a tendency to believe God can not or will not help us.

B. God can help us build a new building to His glory.

C. He will help us overcome bad habits or addictions.

II.  Because God is ever-present, He is always with
      me.

D. "The just shall live by his faith."

E. Habakkuk 3:17-18

F. Matthew 6:31-33; Rom. 8:28

III.  Because God is Sovereign, He is Lord of all.

G. Remember Esther’s example of bowing down to the King.

H. Romans 9:20-24

I. God has a plan for you --- humbly serve Him (Jeremiah 29:11).

Clearly see who your God is. Then bow down before Him in humility and service. He will set you free and give you meaning and purpose in life!
