Romans 10:14-17

For the past few weeks many of our members have been spending time listening to the recorded word of God. This has been such a blessing to our faith because faith comes and grows through hearing the word of God! Today we want to look at four reasons why time spent with God’s word is important.

I. The Bible IS God’s word.

B. I Corinthians 2:9-13

II. The Bible is God-breathed.

C. II Timothy 3:16

D. II Peter 2:19-21

III. The Bible is God’s will.

E. I Thessalonians 4:2-8

F. II Timothy 3:17

IV. The theme of the Bible is Jesus Christ.

G. From Genesis to Revelation, Jesus is the reason for writing.

H. Through God’s word, Jesus has been revealed to you.

It’s one thing to have a head knowledge of Jesus and God’s word, it’s something else to have a heart knowledge. Are Jesus and His word in your heart (Hebrews 8:10)? Are you obedient to God’s word? If not, then obey His gospel plan today!
