Between Two Opinions I Kings 18:16-20 I Kings 18 tells the story of the contest on Mount Carmel between Elijah and the prophets of Baal. Elijah challenges the people to make a decision as to who is really God. “The God who answers by fire … He is God.” Before the contest began Elijah asked the people this question: “How long will you waver between two opinions? … but the people said nothing.” Why didn’t the people answer Elijah?
