Its The Greatest Matthew 22:34-40 The distinguishing characteristic of the Christian religion is the fact that it was built on and expands by LOVE. Jesus said love is the greatest! I. There are two basic reasons why men do not love God. A. Some have not been taught that God is love and God is good. B. Some do not understand the reason for His commandments. II. The Bible teaches that God is love and should be loved. Why? A. He is our Creator. B. He is our Savior. C. He is our Guide. D. He is our Provider. E. He is our Friend. III. How do we demonstrate our love? A. Glad obedience. B. Undivided loyalty. C. Unselfish service. D. Thankful praise. IV. The results of our love for God: A. Salvation B. Elevation C. Evangelism V. Love God first. Love others second. Then everything else should fall right into place. God not only commands it, He also provides motivation for it. Look at the cross --- He first loved us! Now demonstrate your love! |
