There’s A War Going On!

II Corinthians 10:3-5

There’s a war going on. In fact, there are two wars going on. Militarily, we are at war, and spiritually, we are at war. In the spiritual war, we are battling against every high thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We are trying to bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. And the weapons we use in this conflict are the Word of God and prayer, faith and knowledge, truth and righteousness, and the gospel of peace. Sometimes we wonder why God allows our enemy to have so many victories in the various battles we fight. Today, we want to suggest three reasons why God doesn’t do more to stop the attacks of Satan.

I. He doesn’t want us to forget that there is a real war going on!

A. Eph. 6:12-13

B. Too many are too complacent!

C. God is concerned – we should be also!

II. God’s people need to struggle.

D. I Cor. 11:19

E. Conflict produces strength

F. I Peter 4:12-13

III. God wants us to be serious about prayer!

G. Pray on a worldwide scale!

H. I Tim. 2:1-2; James 4:2-3
