Extreme Home Makeover "Framing Godly Values into Our Children" Deuteronomy 6:1-7 When framing or remodeling a house, you must have a plan to follow. And so it is in building a home. God’s Word has the plan for your home that will meet the needs of everyone in your family perfectly. I. Put Things in Proper Order A. God must be FIRST (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 22:37), B. Your spouse must be second. C. As parents, children are our third priority. D. Our career is also important. E. Christian service must also be on our list of priorities. II. The Priority of Loving Your Children F. Time – There is no substitute for quality time. G. Attention – Children need the attention of their parents. H. Listening – If you want them to listen to you, you need to listen to them! I. Training – Our example teaches best. J. Encouragement – Find ways to praise and encourage your kids. III.
