The Good Shepherd and His Sheep John 10:1-16; 24-28 God has compared human beings with sheep many times in His Word. Sheep need guidance and protection, and so do we. Our Good Shepherd is Jesus Christ. He is truly concerned for His flock and we can trust Him! I. He is the door to the sheepfold. A. Only one door B. He commands faith, repentance, confession, baptism and faithfulness. C. Others are thieves and robbers. What have they stolen? 1. Baptism 2. Lord’s Supper 3. Money 4. Name of Christ II. Who are His sheep and what do they do? D. "Anyone" E. The door must be entered. F. Follow Him! G. "One flock" III. Those who believe, receive wonderful privileges. H. Salvation I. Liberty J. Nourishment Let us enter through Him into the flock of God. The door is open to all --- "Whosoever will may come." |
