Accurate and Certain Luke 1:1-17 As Luke begins his Holy Spirit inspired account of the life of Christ, he reminds us of the fact that what he is writing is accurate and certain. And when it comes to our soul and our relationship to God, we most definitely want information that is true and reliable. So today we want to consider the accurate information Luke gives in chapter one about Zachariah, Mary and John. I. Zachariah A. He walked in all of the Lord’s commandments and ordinances blamelessly. B. His prayers were heard. C. His unbelief was punished. II. Mary D. She would give birth to the Son of God. E. His kingdom will never end. F. She rejoiced in God her Savior! III. John G. He would serve the Lord without fear. H. He would speak of the tender mercy of our God. I. God wants us to carry the good news to everyone. You have heard the report. It is accurate and certain. What will you do with Jesus --- God’s only way to Heaven?
