All Under Sin
Rom. 3:9-26

The theme of the book of Romans is "justification by obedient faith." But before dealing with the subject of salvation, Paul first establishes the fact that man is lost in sin (chapters 1-3). In our text today, Paul deals with the state of sin, the practice of sin, the results of sin, and the remission of sins.

I.  The State of Sin (v. 9-12)

A. Everyone is guilty! (Is. 53:6; 64:6; Rom. 3:23; I Jn. 1:8)

B. No one is good enough who has committed even one sin.

II.  The Practice of Sin (v. 13-15)

III.  The Results of Sin (v. 16-18)

E. Physical punishment – "destruction and misery"

F. Mental punishment – "no peace"

H. Not by the law

I. By His grace

J. Through our obedient faith
