The History of Christmas Luke 1:26-38 At Christmas time we celebrate the incarnation of Jesus Christ … God becoming man and living among us. It is the most celebrated holiday in the world. But how did it all get started and how should I observe it? I. Its’ history A. The winter solstice B. Christ Mass C. Early Christians did not celebrate it. II. A reasonable response D. Some say ignore it. E. How did Jesus observe the "feast of dedication?" (Jn. 10:22-24) F. Romans 14:5-6 III. A more important remembrance G. Jesus was born to die for our sins. H.
