What Must I Do
To Be Saved?


“The Christian Church/Church of Christ”

1) Strives to follow the pattern of the church founded by Christ and not be a denomination.  Matthew 16:13-18

2) Wears a Bible name (Christ) and avoids using man’s name, which is sin. 
I Corinthians 1:10-17

3) Has members who call themselves Christians and who are developing into followers of Christ.  Acts 11:26

4) Views the Bible as the inspired Word of God and sees no need for further revelation.
II Timothy 3:16,17

5) Believes in the Godhead - Father, Son , and Holy Spirit.  Matthew 28:18-20

6) Pleas for the unity of believers.  John 17:21

7) Exalts Christ as the only head of the church.  Ephesians 5:23

8) Offers the same “plan of salvation” as found in the Book of Acts:

    A) Believing in Christ - 16:31

    B) Repenting (turning away from) of sins - 17:30

    C) Confessing Christ audibly - 8:37

    D) Being baptized (immersed in water) - 2:38

    E) Living faithfully - 14:22

9) Worships via

    A) Singing - Colossians 3:16

    B) Praying - Acts 2:42

    C) Sharing - II Corinthians 9:6,7

    D) Communion - Acts 20:7

    E) Preaching - Acts 28:31

    F) Praising - Hebrews 13:15

    G) Teaching - Titus 2:15

10) Governs itself and selects:

     Elders (pastors), Evangelists (ministers), Deacons (servants) and various committees
     to carry out needful tasks.  I Timothy 3:1-13, II Timothy 4:1-5, Titus 1:5
